El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood is the place to enjoy your favorite Disney movies no matter what time of the year it is. The “Scream-Tacular” Season is coming to El Capitan beginning October 11, and there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
First up is Edward Scissorhands starring Johnny Depp. It tells the story of an unfinished artificial humanoid who has scissor blades instead of hands, is taken in by a suburban family, and falls in love with their teenage daughter. This movie will run October 11-17 at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, with an additional showing at 9:55 pm on Friday and Saturday Only. Tickets are $23 including fees. There is also a special “Scream-Tacular” pack which includes 2 reserved seats, 2 fountain drinks, and 2 candy. This special pack is $58 including fees. You can even turn your showing of Edward Scissorhands into a double feature with a showing of Frankenweenie. For $33 including fees, you can get 1 reserved seat to Edward Scissorhands and 1 reserved seat to Frankenweenie.
Frankenweenie is also coming to El Capitan Theatre. When a car hits young Victor’s pet dog Sparky, Victor decides to bring him back to life the only way he knows how. But when the bolt-necked “monster” wreaks havoc and terror in the hearts of Victor’s neighbors, he has to convince them that Sparky’s still the good, loyal friend he was.
Frankenweenie will also run October 11-17, with showtimes at 1 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are $23 including fees. There is also a special “Scream-Tacular” pack which includes 2 reserved seats, 2 fountain drinks, and 2 candy. This special pack is $58 including fees. A special Fan Event for Frankenweenie will happen Friday, October 11 at 7:00 pm. See props from all of your favorite Halloween Movies! The Fan Event is $43 per person (including fees), and includes a reserved seat, popcorn, fountain drink, and event credential and lanyard!
Next up for the El Capitan Theatre is Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in 4D. Bored with the same old scare-and-scream routine, Pumpkin King Jack Skellington longs to spread the joy of Christmas. But his merry mission puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere.
The Nightmare Before Christmas will run October 18-31, with showtimes at 9:30 am, 12:00 pm, 2:30 pm, and 7:30 pm, with a 10:00 pm showing on Friday and Saturday Only. While at the El Capitan Theatre, you can see props from all of your favorite Halloween Movies, and enjoy the 1929 Disney animated short Skeleton Dance before the movie! Tickets for The Nightmare Before Christmas are $25, including fees. There is also a special “Everybody Scream Pack.” This special pack is $78 (including fees) and includes 2 reserved seats, 2 fountain drinks, 2 popcorn, and 2 Skittles Shriekers.
There will be a special Fan Event for The Nightmare Before Christmas on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 pm. While there, you can see props from all of your favorite Halloween Movies, a live drawing demo with George McClements, and a special introduction by Don Hahn. Plus guests will be able to see the 1929 Disney animated short Skeleton Dance before the movie. The Fan Event is $68 per person (including fees), and includes a reserved seat, Scary Teddy Bucket, popcorn, fountain drink, and event credential and lanyard!
