Since 1959, the Monorail at the Disneyland Resort has shown a vision of what a highway in the sky could be. This high-speed zero-emission transportation system travels the 2.5-mile route from Tomorrowland to the Disneyland Resort and back every couple of minutes. This brings to life the skies over Tomorrowland and other places around the resort and is a wonderful demonstration of the power of kinetic energy on the atmosphere it inhabits.
The monorails have been undergoing a refurbishment for about a month and reopened today. With the reopening of the monorails came the return of nose cone rides. These have not been offered at the Disneyland Resort since before the pandemic.
On the morning of reopening, Monorail Orange and Monorail Blue could be seen soaring through the skies of the Disneyland Resort. Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Disneyland to go for a ride aboard the Monorail. He was also able to ride in the nose cone, where he was given a sticker. Below is a look at the return of this attraction from its opening morning.
