There were many fascinating things to do and experience at D23: The Ultimate Disney Event. There were plenty of panels to be watched throughout the weekend. There were also some incredible pavilions with their own presentations to check out. One of these was a demonstration of how ILM Stagecraft is used to make Star Wars come to life on screens.
During a media preview of the main show floor of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, a demonstration of how ILM Stagecraft works was given by Lucasfilm. Before the presentation began, an R5 droid could be seen on the stage. It appeared to be scanning the media as they entered the area.
After all the invited guests had gathered, the demonstration began. It really was quite impressive. It shows how in real time ILM Stagecraft brings the worlds of Star Wars to life for both actors and the production team. The demonstration was led by Rob Bredow, SVP, Creative Innovation at Lucasfilm. Watch the demonstration that was seen by the press at this preview here:
