Disney Experiences Technical Difficulties with Payment Processing

The Walt Disney Company is having issues processing payments today. This applies to Disney Store, the parks, and pretty much anywhere a credit card would be processed. On its various websites and apps, notices stating that there are technical difficulties are posted. While credit cards are not working, PayPal is still working.

UPDATE: September 23, 2024 9:18 AM PT

Payment processing issues have been resolved. Notices that informed guests and customers of the issues are no longer found on Disney websites and apps.

Here is the notice that is found on the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort website:

Some of our payment options are unavailable, and only Paypal is available at this time in select flows. We’re actively working to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.

There is a notice in the Disneyland and My Disney Experience apps as well.

The Disney Store website says this:

There is currently an issue processing Card Payments, please feel free to use PayPal. We apologize for the inconvenience.

At this point, it is unknown when exactly this problem will be fixed. Disney is working diligently to figure out a remedy. This problem does not appear to be impacting the parks and resorts that are overseas.
