On this day in 1934, the cartoon ‘Orphan’s Benefit’ was released. Mickey and his friends put on a show to raise money for some orphaned mice. This short contained several “firsts” – the first time that Donald Duck appeared together with Mickey Mouse, the introduction of Clara Cluck, and the first time the name “Goofy” was used instead of Dippy Dawg.
