On this day in 2020, the series finale of ‘Elena of Avalor’ aired on Disney Junior. The finale was entitled “Coronation Day,” and it remains one of the highest rated episodes of the show. Princess Elena has learned thoughtfulness, resilience, and compassion in her time as crown princess of Avalor. Now she journeys to the Spirit World on the day she is to become queen. Mark Hamill won a Daytime Emmy Award for his portrayal of the villain Vuli in this episode.
