Fantasmic! will be seeing Mickey Mouse’s imagination once again lighting up the night at Disneyland starting on Friday, May 24, 2024. When this longest-running Disney nighttime spectacular returns, guests will once again get to see that nothing is more powerful than imagination.
About the Return of Fantasmic!
Peter Pan
The return of Fantasmic! to Disneyland will also see the return of the beloved Peter Pan segment. This segment has been updated and now features The Lost Boys as they join Peter Pan and Wendy to battle Captain Hook on a pirate ship. This will include spectacular duels and falls as the ship sails around the Rivers of America.
Face-Off With Maleficent
There will also be the climactic face off between Mickey Mouse and Maleficent as she soars 35 feet above him. Maleficent will don her dark gown and wield her powerful scepter to ascend to a height of 35 feet as she appears to ignite the River of America in flames. Mickey gathers all his magical powers, creating colorful swirls of light as sparkling pyrotechnics bolt from his fingers.

- When it originally opened in 1992, Fantasmic! was the first nighttime spectacular at a Disney park to leverage new technology to combine an outdoor spectacular and stage show while also including two sailing vessels, the Mark Twain Riverboat and Sailing Ship Columbia.
- Each night of the show, more than 100 cast and crew members bring Fantasmic! to life for the 25-minute show.
- In the show, sequences from some of the most memorable Disney films are projected on three giant mist screens, measuring 60 feet wide by 30 feet tall to bring iconic scenes to life on the Rivers of America.
- The dazzling water effects include 21 fountains that appear to dance along to the music and six “whale tails” that shoot water high in the air towards the audience during dramatic moments.
- During key show moments, a pair of lighting towers dramatically rise from underground to reach a height of 40 feet in less than a minute!

What You Need to Know
Ahead of the return of Fantasmic! on Friday, here are a few things to know about its return:
- It is schedule currently be presented twice nightly. Be sure to check the Disneyland App or Disneyland.com for entertainment showtimes.
- Viewing is first-come, first-served.
- Guests should enter the viewing area via Frontierland and check with the nearest cast member for directions to the appropriate area.
- There are dining packages available for those who would like reserved viewing. Reserved dining is offered at:
- Blue Bayou Restaurant
- River Belle Terrace
- Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante
- A valid ticket and park reservation is required to enter Disneyland and see Fantasmic! It does not matter which park a reservation is for if your admission ticket has the Park Hopping option. Simply park hop to Disneyland sometime after 11:00 AM if you have a Disney California Adventure reservation.
- The 2024 summer ticket offer can be a great way to experience Fantasmic! for those who do not have a Magic Key (select Magic Keys are still on sale).
- Guests can also experience Pixar Fest this summer before seeing Fantasmic! at night.
- Season of the Force continues to run at Disneyland through June 2nd.
