On this day in 1970, the Walt Disney World Preview Center opened in Florida, almost two years before the Resort itself would open. The Preview Center would act a first tour of the new “Vacation Kingdom of the World” for over one million guests, 5,000 of which visited on opening weekend. It offered an in-depth look at the “Florida Project,” including scaled models, artist renderings, and continually updated construction photos.
