The Peanuts Celebration is back on at Knott’s Berry Farm! The fan festival is more than just that. It offers some great fun for the whole family throughout the park!
Food
We’ll start with a Knott’s staple: food. But, to really explain it all, check out this post by Mr. Daps where he and I went around to trying all the special meals in the park. They are all offered on the meal plan and feature the theme of Mac and Cheese.
Get Your Game On
The big offerings for the Celebration is the entertainment. It is jam packed with things to see and do.
The Cowboy Jamboree lets kids compete in some games. Helping out with the competitions are Schroeder and Linus. They first demonstrate whichever game is being played with the instruction of the host. Throughout the day are different games being offered, but it’s easy for any child to come up and get into the gameplay.
Over at the Birdcage Theater are alternating Sketch Schools and Trivia Challenges. Anyone can venture in and learn how to draw a favorite Peanuts character or test their wits with trivia from various Peanuts specials and shows. The interactive shows happen about every hour until evening, which makes for some fun drawing breaks or interactive competition.
Showing Off the Peanuts Gang
Over on the Calico Mine Stage are two shows, one during the day and one in the evening. “It’s Your Life, Charlie Brown” is a classic style stage show that showcases the Peanuts gang as they celebrate Charlie Brown. Fun songs and great dance numbers highlight the show with some bright characters.
At night is the Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert featuring the Jelly of the Month Club. This popular kids music band really gets the crowd going and features the beagle himself. Plus it offers the rest of the gang helping Snoopy and even his brother, Spike, perform with the band.
Characters Galore
There are many opportunities to greet the Peanuts gang. A special exhibit for this year featuring Franklin’s historical debut is at the Calico Town Hall. There you can get your photo with Franklin. Also there is a great opportunity to make your own Peanuts comic strip through some light table tracing!
Pigpen’s Pig Pen offers a greet with the farmyard character amidst some barnyard animals. Most notable of the animals are the group of piglets that are only seen during this time of year in the stable. The baby pigs are fun to watch, and after you can get a photo with Pig Pen!
The “Peanuts on the Go” Cavalcade is both a show and a meet and greet. Kids can join in on a dance with Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Sally around the Charleston Circle. It’s also a bit of a parade to see them drive up in some old jalopies along Memory Lane.
And those aren’t all the ways to see the gang! There’s even a location over at the Mystery Lodge entrance where Snoopy and others pose for photos! It is hard not to see any of the Peanuts characters during a visit to the park this year, and that’s what it’s all about!
Celebrating the Peanuts Gang
This celebration really showcases some beloved characters and their history. There is such bright decoration and fun shows to see it’s hard not to have a smile from seeing it all. It’s remarkable how much interaction there is in so many of the events at the park. Kids can dance or draw or play games or answer trivia, and that isn’t even including any rides or boardwalk games! It’s a very energetic and vibrant place to be at for the next few weeks. It’s worth the visit, or even a couple, until February 25!
