On this day in 1994, the family adventure film ‘Iron Will’ was released in theaters. Inspired by a true story, ‘Iron Will’ follows a young man who embarks on a cross country dogsled race to raise money for his family after the death of his father. The film is based on the 1917 Winnipeg-to-St. Paul dogsled race. It was filmed in northern Minnesota, near Duluth. Many of the local residents got to appear as extras! [30 years ago in 2024]
