Knott’s Spooky Farm Brings Halloween Magic Through Entertaining Offerings

This weekend Knott’s Berry Farm began its family friendly Halloween offerings, Knott’s Spooky Farm. Knott’s Spooky Farm allows guests young and old to experience Halloween throughout the days (Thursday through Sundays) from September 28 through October 29, and also on Halloween. During these days, there are opportunities to meet with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts in their Halloween costumes throughout the park. There are also Trick or Treat stations found throughout the park, creepy critters, pumpkins, specialty foods, and some incredibly charming entertainment. Daps Magic was invited to experience this special Halloween offering and checked it out on September 30, 2023.

One of the highlights of Knott’s Spooky Farm is the entertainment that is offered throughout the day. An entire day may be spent simply enjoying the different entertainment offerings that are found at Knott’s. There were multiple people that did just that it appeared. The two main places this could be done was outdoors on the Calico Stage and inside the Birdcage Theater.

Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies

Throughout the day on the Calico Stage Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies perform on the Calico Mine Stage. On Saturday they performed at the following times:

  • 11:30 AM
  • 1:00 PM
  • 2:30 PM

Check the times guides for specific performance times of Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. They also are a part of the Costume Cavalcade later in the afternoon as well. They are a wonderful blend of Rockabilly, classic country, rock, and humor. Getting to see them perform outside is a blast and worth spending an afternoon on the lawn to enjoy their performances.

Halloween Spooktacular | Bob Baker Marionette Theater

The Bob Baker Marionettes bring the Birdcage Theater to life with their Halloween Spooktacular. This show is packed with nostalgia and runs about 20 minutes. It uses classic Halloween songs, incredible puppets, and even more incredible puppetry. This is a Southern California tradition that continues to live on and be loved by fans at Knott’s Berry Farm through events like this. This show is definitely worth seeing and if you stick around after, you can get a picture with a marionette!

This show is listed as being presented at:

  • 10:30 AM
  • 12:30 PM
  • 2:00 PM
  • 3:30 PM

Check the times guide to confirm times when you visit.

Calico Carnival Costume Cavalcade

Another entertainment that should not be missed is the Calico Carnival Costume Cavalcade. This takes place on the Calico Mine Stage at 4:00 in the afternoon. Halloween fans young and old are invited to show up in the costumes (or not) and participate in this cavalcade with Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies, some citizens of Calico, and the Peanuts in their Halloween costumes as well! At the end of the cavalcade, participants are also given a button. This is a charming experience to participate or to watch. If you have brought kids to the park for Spooky Farm and they have been trick or treating all day, this is the perfect culmination of the day. It is also a great opportunity for some really cute photos!

Knott’s Spooky Farm is an absolutely lovely way to celebrate Halloween together as a family. At one point during the costume cavalcade I had this thought that I almost felt like I was living in a Peanuts television program. It is a wonderful family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween that is a lot of fun and very cute. Stop by Knott’s Berry Farm during the days this is offered during the Halloween season! I hope you have as much fun with it as we did!
