13 Spooky Disney Parks Videos on Friday the 13th

Today is Friday the 13th! Even better, its Friday the 13th in the month of October, the spookiest of months! With that in mind, it only seems appropriate to revisit 13 spooky videos that Daps Magic has filmed through the years. The following 13 videos are in no particular order but are 13 of our favorite spooky videos that we have shot in the Disney Parks through the years. Take a look at them below and then share which one is your favorite!

1. Ernesto de la Cruz Sings Remember Me at Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure

It is hard to forget the first time we saw Ernesto de la Cruz and heard him sing in his etherial way Remember Me at the 2022 Oogie Boogie Bash. The whole experience was terrifyingly beautiful! It was ridiculously eerie and one of the spookiest additions that have been added through the years to the Oogie Boogie Bash.

2. Constance Hatchaway Meet and Greet in New Orleans Square at Disneyland

Constance Hatchaway, more commonly known as the Bride in the Haunted Mansion, met with guests during the Halloween season in 2019. Her beauty and demeanor led to a terrifying meet and greet experience. She recently returned for the Haunted Mansion World Premiere at Disneyland. This was also pretty thrilling, but not as spooky as meeting her after the sun goes down in New Orleans Square. We hope that we will see more of Constance in the future!

3. Zombie Captain America at Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure

Who can forget the arrival of Zombie Captain Hook in Avengers Campus during the 2021 Oogie Boogie Bash!? This was perhaps the most terrifying thing that has ever come to Disney California Adventure. It was perfect for Halloween and the only thing that would have made it better would have been if he had showed up on non-party nights!

4. Ghost Galaxy in Space Mountain in Tomorrowland at Disneyland

Ghost Galaxy was an incredible overlay of Space Mountain where quite literally a Ghost Galaxy took over the attraction and led to an almost haunted experience as guests blasted through space. This video was taken in 2017. It initially debuted at the Disneyland Resort in 2009. This was two years after a version of this overlay first appeared at Hong Kong Disneyland.

5. Ghost Galaxy Exterior on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland at Disneyland

The exterior of Ghost Galaxy at Space Mountain was another terrifying offering at the Disneyland Resort. In some ways, this was scarier than the actual attraction was when guests zipped through space being chased by the Ghost Galaxy. On the exterior, the Ghost Galaxy tried to get out of Space Mountain and it was awesome. This was done with some incredible sound effects and projection technology. It was a favorite for many Disney fans!

6. Conjure a Villain – Evil Queen – Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort

There once was a time at Disneyland when during Halloween Time there was an experience where villains were conjured. The above video shows the Evil Queen’s arrival. This was found in the former Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree where a Halloween Carnival was held. There were some really fun characters for this along with some fun seasonal entertainment.

7. Thriller – Mad T Party During Halloween Time

Who can forget when Mad T Party got into the Halloween spirit!? This led to one of the most entertaining renditions of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. This was a lot of fun that had a healthy dose of spookiness added to it. This song fits perfectly with the spookiest of seasons and the way it was performed just added to the whole experience.

8. Cadaver Dans at Haunted Mansion’s 50th Anniversary Event at Disneyland

The Cadaver Dans are always a lot of fun to see at Disneyland. It’s even more fun when they are helping the Haunted Mansion celebrate its 50th anniversary! This video came from that very spooky night. It shows these dead looking Dapper Dans singing their hearts (do they still have them) out for those who came to celebrate 50 years of this iconic “swinging wake.

9. Judge Doom at Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure

A terrifying addition to the Oogie Boogie Bash this year was that of Judge Doom… and the unfortunate toon he brought with him that sadly gets “the Dip.” The bar has been set high with this appearance and we look forward to seeing what terrifying additions will be coming in future years!

10. Werewolf by Night at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure

The arrival of the werewolf from Werewolf by Night at Avengers Campus in 2022 was another one of the most terrifying things that has ever arrived at the Disneyland Resort. This character seemed just on the edge of ruthlessly going after anyone in the area. Nearby, Elsa Bloodstone could often be found as she continued her hunt for the werewolf. The whole thing experience was incredible!

11. Headless Horseman at Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure

Seeing the Headless Horseman ride through Disney California Adventure during Oogie Boogie Bash is a wonderfully haunting experience. It brings to life one of Disney’s most terrifying characters from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow that was a part of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Seeing the Headless Horseman ride through the park is almost worth the price of admission to this Halloween Party. He also rides through Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party as well for those on the other coast!

A Storm in the Skies Over Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure

Perhaps one of the most surreal and spooky experiences the Daps Magic team has ever had was a storm at the end of 2021 Oogie Boogie Bash. It didn’t really rain during this storm but there was lots of lightning! The team filmed some of it and also took some photos. There are few things spookier and more appropriate during Halloween than a flash of lightning followed by the roll of thunder!

13. Friday the 13th Ride-Through of Haunted Mansion in 2013

Is there anything better than a Haunted Mansion Holiday ride-through on Friday the 13th in 2013? This video was from that special night a decade ago!

These are just 13 of our favorite spooky videos that the Daps Magic team has shot through the years that seemed appropriate for Friday the 13th. We should also give an honorable mention to the original Haunted Mansion as well! It is the spookiest attraction at Disneyland and should be honored as well.
