Two annual fall traditions have returned to the Disneyland Resort. Plaza de la Family and Halloween Time have both returned to The Happiest Place on Earth. With each of these offerings are plenty of magical things to experience throughout the autumnal season. This includes the return of Halloween Screams, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark along with the Haul-O-Ween celebration in Cars Land. There are also some other fun ways to enjoy these autumnal celebrations at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. These involve food and merchandise. This year, there is a LOT of both to enjoy.
Recently, Daps Magic was invited to a media preview at the Disneyland Resort to check out some of the offerings for both Plaza de la Familia and Halloween Time. During this event, both the food and also the merchandise were showcased. Disney spokesperson Arielle shared with Daps Magic the delicious offerings found for both celebrations along with the accompanying merchandise. This year definitely took both to new levels of awesome! Before getting to Arielle’s presentation, however, let’s define what each of these celebrations are!
Plaza de la Familia is the celebration of the everlasting bonds of family. It includes A Musical Celebration of Coco, the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life), Mariachi music, the opportunity to make crafts, Miguel meet and greets, and of course the food and merchandise. This celebration runs until November 2, 2023.
Hallowen Time is the celebration of Halloween and all that is spooky. There are Disney characters in their Halloween costumes to be visited, attractions with Hallooween/holiday overlays, the Halloween Screams fireworks, the Oogie Boogie Bash (sold out) Halloween Party, and much more. This celebration also has its own food and merchandise. Halloween Time runs through October 31, 2023.
