For the last couple of weeks Magic Key holders could receive a complimentary MagicBand+ at select locations throughou the Disneyland Resort. Today, Disney announced that the offer has concluded. In a post on social media, the update was shared by the Disneyland Magic Key official handle. The MagicBand+ that was offered was specifically designed for Magic Key holders.
With a MagicBand+, guests can unlock the magic in the following ways:
- Easily enter theme parks at the Disneyland Resort with hands-free access (valid park admission and reservation required)
- Check in at Lightning Lane entrances (separate valid Lightning Lane entry required)
- Link Disney PhotoPass photos to your Disney account
- Enjoy customizable, full-spectrum, color-changing lights that interact with select nighttime spectaculars
- Delight in gesture recognition that brings select park experiences to life in immersive ways
Initially after the announcement of the complimentary MagicBand+ offer Magic Key holders swarmed into stores to receive their gift. Hours after it was announced, stores were saying that the entire resort was out of complimentary MagicBand+ gifts. However, in the following days and weeks, Magic Key holders could still receive the gift at the select merchandise location.
