Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Cancels Cruises Due to Impact of Hurricane Ian on Walt Disney World Resort

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is canceling two voyages due to the threat of Hurricane Ian on the guest experience. In an update on the Walt Disney World Resort website, guests were notified of the cancellation. The cruises that are departing on September 27, 2022 and also on September 29, 2022. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyages departing Tuesday, Sept. 27 and Thursday, Sept. 29 have been canceled due to the potential impact on the guest experience. Guests with reservations for these dates are asked to please call 407-939-5209 for help with modifying their plans.

The announcement that the Halcyon will not be taking guests on scheduled cruises twice this week comes the same day that Orlando International Airport announced that it will be closing on Wednesday. The hope is that it will resume operations on Friday after authorities have had the opportunity to check for any damage that may occur during the hurricane.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser takes guests on an interactive adventure aboard the Halcyon in a galaxy far, far away. This experience completely immerses guests in the world of Star Wars as they get to see it come to life around them and interact with all that is going on. Part of the cruise includes a trip down to the planet Batuu found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This part of the experience could be greatly impacted by Hurricane Ian.
