Guests will soon be able to start booking their 2023 trips to Walt Disney World Resort. Starting on June 8, 2022, tickets and resort bookings will be available for those looking to book trips in 2023 to the most magical place on earth. This will allow guests to purchase visits that will include the ability to experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or the upcoming MagicBand+.
June 8th will also see a change being implemented for Genie+. Guests will no longer be able to purchase Genie+ ahead of their visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Instead, Genie+ will only be available to purchase on the day of a visit through the My Disney Experience app. This will apply to all tickets and Annual Passes. Genie+ sales will also be subject to availability. Disney shared that it expects that guests will be able to enter 2-3 attractions or experiences per day utilizing the Lightning Lane entrance with Genie+, assuming that the first selection is made early in the day.
Genie+ purchases that have already been made for Walt Disney World Resort dates later in 2022 will not be impacted by this change. Only future purchases are made after June 8, 2022. It is also noted that these policy changes are only for Walt Disney World Resort and not the Disneyland Resort, which offers the service independently.
Guests will be able to book their 2023 Walt Disney World Resort trips and purchase tickets through the Walt Disney World Resort website or through DAPS MAGIC’s travel partners at Mouseways Travel (for no additional cost!).
