Nighttime Comes to Life at Disneyland Resort with Return of Favorite Spectaculars

Nighttimes have become a whole lot more magical at the Disneyland Resort. Tonight the Main Street Electrical Parade, Disneyland Forever fireworks, and World of Color make their official return to the Happiest Place on Earth! Along with the return of these magical nighttime spectaculars also brought specialty food, merchandise, an Elliott popcorn bucket, and turtle sipper. These proved to be quite popular with lines snaking around various locations in Disneyland as people waited to buy their prize of the day.

“As we approach the one-year anniversary of the Disneyland Resort reopening April 30, we are thrilled to welcome back our beloved nighttime spectaculars and introduce all-new offerings that underscore our incredible momentum and set the stage for much more to come in the future,” said Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock.

The Main Street Electrical Parade will be performed nightly for its limited run at 8:30 and 10:45 PM. Disneyland Forever fireworks spectacular will be presented on the weekends at 9:30 PM. World of Color brings Paradise Bay to life at 9:00 and 10:15 PM. Check the entertainment guide on the Disneyland website of Disneyland App to confirm showtimes.

The official arrival of these nighttime spectaculars comes after a surprise presentation of the Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever to guests visiting Disneyland on Wednesday April 20, 2022. Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek, Chairman of Parks and Resort Josh D’Amaro, the Disneyland Ambassadors, and others were on hand for the magical night. This was followed by a cast preview and party after the park closed.

The Main Street Electrical Parade is celebrating its 50th anniversary with this return. The parade is looking more magical than ever and includes some enhancements throughout. The beginning of the parade has a new introduction that celebrates the legacy of the parade and honors its original opening moments. The grand finale celebrates many favorite Disney stories and has a message of peace and togetherness that is inspired by “it’s a small world.” The new designs were created by artist Ashley Taylor. There are also accompanying projections found around the route as well for the parade that add even more magic.

The arrival of these nighttime spectaculars are just the first wave of returns to the Disneyland Resort. On May 28th, Fantasmic! will be returning to light up the Rivers of America at Disneyland.
