There was a lot of focus on the return of traditional Disney character interactions this week at the Disneyland Resort. However, the character interactions weren’t the only thing that changed. The Disneyland Band also made a change on Monday.
The later afternoon Tomorrowland set has been performed on the outside of the Launch Bay building since the Disneyland Band returned to the parks after the closure. On Monday, the band was moved to the old loading zone for the PeopleMover platform. The new location has the band members standing closer together. The way it is confined also appeared to make the acoustics better as well.
For the 3:30 Tomorrowland set, the Disneyland Band performed three pieces. It began with Let it Go from Disney’s Frozen. This was followed by Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast. The set concluded with a Star Wars medley. All three pieces can be seen below.
The new location for this set of the Disneyland Band appeared to be the only change for the band yesterday. The castle set with the march down Main Street did not make a return at this point. The band also performed on the steps of Main Street Station in Town Square, just as they have been doing since returning as part of Disneyland’s phased reopening. If and when any other changes are made to the Disneyland Band’s performances, DAPS MAGIC will report on them and record them as well.
