Magic Meets the Sea - Disney Cruise Line Float in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Disney Cruise Line to Debut Disney Wish Float in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

A favorite Thanksgiving tradition for many is watching the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Each year, dozens of floats, balloons, bands, and celebrities wind their way through New York City on Thanksgiving morning.

This year, Disney Cruise Line will be represented in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a float that represents its newest ship, the Disney Wish. This float, or “ship,” has been christened “Magic Meets the Sea” and draws its inspiration from the Disney Wish. The Disney Wish will be setting sail with guests in the summer of 2022. Disney says that the float will be inspired by the colors of Mickey Mouse. It will include towering red funnels and also an intricate filigree motif along the hull.

This float will also feature 15 favorite Disney friends that represent stories and experiences that will be found on the Disney Wish. This will include Captain Minnie Mouse, Princess Tiana, Aladdin and Jasmine, Cinderella, and others. Disney promises to release more details about this float as the day of the big parade draws closer.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade can be seen on NBC from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in all time zones on Thanksgiving morning. Are you excited to see this new float? Do you watch the parade regularly? Will you be this year? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
