Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents Closes for Refurbishment

Tonight the Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents closed for refurbishment after the park ended its operating hours. A notice was placed on the Walt Disney World Resort website and app stating that “The Hall of Presidents is currently closed for refurbishment.”* Mr. DAPs shared the news on this week’s GEEKS CORNER and then he and Caitie chatted about the attraction and shared some out of the box ideas for it.

Hall of Presidents Undergoes Refurbishment

The closure coincided with the ending of President Trump’s term as the President of the United States and the night before President-Elect Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021.

In recent years, the show has been updated with the current President of the United States giving an inspirational speech at the end of it. Here is the most recent version of this Liberty Square attraction.

Disney has not made any official statement about the future of this attraction. It would be no surprise if one came in the very near future, however. If recent traditions continue, Joseph R. Biden will soon be found as an audio-animatronic in the Hall of Presidents as the 46th President of the United States.

DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and provide any updates that are provided by Disney that confirm the future of this attraction.

*At the time of this writing. The attraction page said that there were 44 Presidents. This is not accurate.
