Asian Street Eats Removed from Downtown Disney District Listings as Location is Vacated

Asian Street Eats has been removed from the Downtown Disney District restaurant listings on the Disneyland Resort website. This comes as the location in front of the former Rainforest Cafe was also vacated this last week. Asian Street Eats had the food of Chef Hung Huynh, and was operated by Earl Enterprises which also runs the Earl of Sandwich in the Downtown Disney District. It closed in early December with the increased restrictions brought on by the pandemic. However, the temporary closure appears to now be permanent.

The closure of Asian Street Eats comes about a year after it opened. It originally soft-opened on New Year’s Eve just as 2020 was about to begin. The menu included mixed bowls, scallion pancakes, potstickers, and several sauces.

The closure and disappearance of Asian Street Eats comes as the Downtown Disney District continues to only allow take-out food that must be consumed off property.  Currently, there is no dining (sit down or otherwise) allowed at the Downtown Disney District, which now includes Buena Vista Street. Shopping continues to remain available at a limited capacity.

What do you think of the apparent closure of Asian Street Eats? What do you think should go in that location next? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
