EPCOT’s Moroccos Pavilion is undergoing some changes as Disney takes ownership of the locations there. This comes after the operators gave up ownership for the locations due to the financial impact of COVID-19 not making it viable to continue doing business there. Because of this, multiple locations have been closed in the Morrocco Pavilion as they transfer to Disney ownership and operation.
The following locations are currently closed:
- Spice Road Table (reopening December 13th)
- Restaurant Marrakesh (reopening date unknown)
- Souk-Al-Magreb (reopening December 12th)
- Marketplace in the Medina (reopening date unknown)
The changes at the Morocco Pavilion comes as Walt Disney World Resort continues its phased reopening. Recently, capacity at the parks was increased from 25% to 35%. As more people return to the parks, restaurants should have more demand. It is unknown how much will change with these restaurants and locations with Disney taking ownership. DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available.
