On Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) had a wonderful event to spread holiday cheer to its patience. Deck the Halls was a virtual celebration for the patients of CHOC. Throughout the course of the event, goody bags were delivered to patients. There was also a special virtual celebration that was broadcast from Seacrest Studios. Video of all of the holiday decorations throughout CHOC was also livestreamed to the patients.
The Bandai Foundation was the presenting sponsor for this event. Kohls, Tustin Toyota, OCCU and Hyundai were supporting sponsors. There were also other generous community members who donated to help make the event possible.
This Deck the Halls event was a holiday celebration for the patients at CHOC. Through years of talking to patients and their families, it becomes quickly apparent that CHOC isn’t just a hospital. It is a family. This time of year, when someone is staying in a hospital, family is one of the things that is needed most. CHOC creates an environment of love and support for the patients and their families. This is one of the reasons that it is so crucial to support CHOC.
One great way to support CHOC is by participating in the Virtual CHOC Walk on March 20, 2021! DAPS MAGIC has a team for this event where the proceeds go straight to CHOC initiatives. You can join the team by going to chocwalk.org/dapsmagic! This can be done from anywhere in the world as the event is virtual this year. Join today and help us make the world a little bit better during a difficult time!
