Walt Disney World Extends Parks Hours for New Year’s Eve

The Walt Disney World Resort has extended hours on all of its parks for New Year’s Eve. This comes after it was announced that the parks had increased capacity from 25% to 35%. While the new park hours are longer, they still don’t allow for any midnight celebrations in any of the parks currently. They all close before midnight. Guests will still get a chance to celebrate in the parks, but not ring in the new year at the stroke of midnight.

Here is a look at how the hours were extended:

Magic Kingdom: was 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, is now 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: was 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, is now 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: was 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, is now 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
EPCOT: was 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, is now 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Currently, there is no known special entertainment being offered for New Year’s Eve beyond the normal daily offerings that are unscheduled. With the parks closing before midnight, there are no big midnight firework spectaculars on the schedule currently.
