Magic Kingdom’s The Hall of Presidents Presumably to Get Update as Joe Biden Elected President

Today it was announced that Joe Biden has been elected the 46th President of the United States. With the projected election of a new president, the show will presumably continue the tradition of updating this show to incorporate the president. This would include a new speech that a new President Biden would give within the show.

The Hall of Presidents opened at the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971, in Liberty Square in a building that is made to look like Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It showcases not just the presidency of the United States, but also a nation that continues to work through faults and improve itself.

For the first couple of decades, the attraction remained basically the same. Presidents were added but the show remained virtually the same until 1993. In 1993 the show received its first major update. The show now included moments that focused more on slavery and other ethical and civil rights issues in the country. President Clinton also provided his voice for his animatronic figure for this version of the show. This practice has now become a tradition as Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald J. Trump also provided their voices for their animatronic figures.

With Joe Biden now being elected the 46th President of the United States, it is probable that he will be next in lending his voice to a Joe Biden animatronic that will appear in an updated version of The Hall of Presidents.

At this time, Disney has not made any official announcements regarding an update to The Hall of Presidents. With the current pandemic and economic crisis, it is unknown if and when this announcement will be made. It is also unknown if there will be a bigger update to the show beyond the inclusion of President-elect Biden.
