Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration

Disney to Reimagine Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration as Part of Holiday Programming Lineup on ABC

This year the holidays look quite a bit different than anyone could have imagined just a year ago. ABC has released its lineup of programming for the holiday season and it also looks a bit different. The biggest change this year is that the annual Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration will be “remagined” this year. This comes as no surprise as the Disneyland Resort continues to be closed. Walt Disney World Resort also has not brought back parades, stage shows, or nighttime spectaculars yet as they continue to practice health and safety protocols put in place because of COVID-19. While Disney hasn’t shared what the celebration will look like this year, expect it to be creative and magical!

There are some other fun highlights that will be found on ABC this holiday season. On November 30th, The Disney Holiday Singalong will be presented. This will be the third iteration of the singalong. Earlier this year The Disney Family Singalong and then the Disney Family Singalong: Volume II drew in 22.3 million combined viewers after 35 days of watching on both traditional TV and digital mediums. CMA Country Christmas will be presented on November 30th after The Disney Holiday Singalong.

On Thanksgiving evening, ABC will share the fifth annual presentation of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration. The evening will also include Olaf’s Frozen Adventure and Toy Story That Time Forgot.

Other programs of note include The Great Christmas Light Fight, new holiday episodes of The Goldbergs and black-ishThe Sound of Music, and the network broadcast premiere of The Greatest Showman.

ABC will have plenty of holiday programming from Thanksgiving through Christmas Day. What are you most looking forward to seeing? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
