It’s been a little over a year since initially launching in the United States. Since then, Disney+ has continued to launch in other regions around the globe. The most recent one is Latin America and across the Caribbean.
With this launch also comes new content targeting the area. Currently, there are 70 local productions in various stages of production. These are being done in partnership with local production companies of high repute from Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina. They will also be starring talent from the region as well.
Prices for Disney+ in Latin America
- Argentina: ARS$ 385.00/month or ARS$ 3,850.00/year.
- Brazil: BRL$ 27.90/month or BRL$ 279.90/year.
- Chile: CLP$ 6,500.00/month or CLP$ 64,900.00/year.
- Colombia: COP$ 23,900.00/month or COP$ 239,900/year.
- Peru: PEN$ 25.90/month or PEN$ 259.90/year.
- Mexico: MXN$ 159.00/month or MXN$ 1,599.00/year.
- Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Panama: USD$ 5.99/month or USD$ 59.99/year.
- Uruguay: USD$ 7.49/month or USD$ 74.99/year.
In all other Latin American countries, subscriptions are USD$ 5.99/month or USD$ 59.99/year. The final price may be impacted by third-party charges in some territories; and both the price and the currency may vary on third-party platforms in the region.
Disney+ offers viewers the chance to watch exclusive Disney content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. This includes original programming created specifically for Disney’s streaming service. Currently, there are over 40 Disney+ Original offerings that include series, movies, shorts, and original documentaries. The Mandalorian is one of these original series and recently won 7 Emmy Awards.
Those wishing to subscribe to Disney+ can do so at disneyplus.com. They will then be able to have seven profiles on their account along with the ability to download content on up to 10 devices. Disney+ also allows for streaming on up to 4 devices at once as well. This can be done on computers, mobile devices, smart TVs, connected TV devices (like Apple TV), gaming consoles, and streaming media players.
