Disney Chairman Bob Iger Hints at Chadwick Boseman Tribute Coming to Disney+

Disney Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board Bob Iger has hinted that a tribute to Chadwick Boseman will be coming to Disney+ on Black Panther tonight. Boseman died in August of complications to colon cancer. Iger shared the news on Twitter today.

The tribute comes as the world continues to mourn the death of Boseman and tributes continue to come forward. He was diagnosed with stage iii colon cancer in 2016 and kept his condition private as he portrayed T’Challa/Black Panther publicly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He portrayed a hero publicly and privately he was a hero. At the time of his death, he was only 43.

Marvel has said that they will not be utilizing digital technology to recreate Boseman as Black Panther moving forward. The sequel to Black Panther is set to begin filming next summer.
