The TRON Lightcycle / Run has reached a major milestone at the Magic Kingdom. Imagineer Zach Ridley shared on his Instagram that the first piece of the canopy was installed this week on the upcoming attraction. This is one of almost 40 of these pieces that will be installed by the time the attraction is finished.
These canopy pieces make up the Upload Conduit. This canopy will flow organically over Guests as they rance underneath on their Lightcycles” Riddley posted. Each of these pieces is put together before being installed on the attraction. This includes alignment of the steel, welding, grinding, some painting, and electrical work.
The canopy and TRON Lightcycle / Run will not only create an incredible new experience for guests, it will also become an iconic new part of the landscape of Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. As guests whiz by underneath the canopy on their Lightcycles, strips of light will run with the Lightcycles, creating an incredible experience for both the riders and those who are watching. This will be especially incredible at night!
