Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life at Disney Springs Opening Again Delayed

The opening of Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life has been pushed back again at Disney Springs. The show originally was to have opened earlier this year at Walt Disney World Resort. However, due to COVID-19, the opening was first pushed back to later in the year.

At one point it was thought that the show could open in November. In fact, shows were scheduled starting in November. However, that is no longer the case. Performances that were originally appearing on the Cirque du Soleil website from November to January now no longer appear.

“We are evaluating the timing for the opening of Drawn to Life based on guidance from government and health organizations,” a Cirque du Soleil spokeswoman shared.

Currently, the first tickets that are available are on February 10, 2021. Those who had already purchased tickets for a show that is now canceled are being contacted and given the chance to rebook on another date.

Drawn to Life has been billed as a “love letter to the art of Disney animation,” that blends live Cirque du Soleil performers with Disney images and also Disney music. There was a brief preview in March ahead of the original opening of the show before everything closed down due to coronavirus.

Drawn to Life replaces  Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba which concluded performances in 2017.
