Delays and Cancelations – DISNEY Reporter

Welcome to another edition of DISNEY Reporter. This week there were some pretty big stories to cover. The first is that there will be no Halloween parties at either Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resorts now. This comes as Disneyland Resort has officially canceled the Oogie Boogie Bash after Walt Disney World Resort canceled Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party quite some time ago. The 2020 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon is also going digital and will not be held as it normally is at Walt Disney World Resort. This isn’t a direct cancelation but it definitely is a change.

For guests visiting both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, there have been updates to the safety protocols. These are specific to the types of face coverings allowed and also when it is ok to lower them. Guests will need to be stationary and in a physically distant location to eat or drink with their masks lowered.

In entertainment news, a new voice of Minnie Mouse was revealed this week on Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures. Kaitlyn Robrock is that voice. Also, Disney Studios have updated their release schedule for upcoming movies. Mulan no longer has a release date. Avatar and Star Wars movies have all been bumped back by about a year. Spider-Man 3, a Sony released movie, will be coming out a month later than last planned. DAPS MAGIC and the DISNEY Reporter will continue to follow these stories and provide updates as they become available.
