Welcome to the DISNEY Reporter! This week there is a lot of news, some happy and some not so happy. With the tragic murder of George Floyd, Disney is making a substantial donation to nonprofits advancing the causes of social justice. Disney is also matching the donations of Cast Members to different nonprofit organizations as well.
In other Cast Member news, Walt Disney World Resort will be bringing back Cast Members to work in the coming weeks. Cast Members won’t be the only ones coming to Walt Disney World though, 22 teams from the NBA will also be coming to finish their season.
Over at Shanghai Disney Resort, a new virtual queue system is being tested. It could lead to replications of the system at other Disney theme parks around the world.
Finally, Disney Cruise Line has suspended all cruises in Alaska in 2020. There are other cruises that may or may not be impacted this year. DAPS MAGIC has all the details on the return of the future of Disney Cruise Line.
