Disney Springs

Check Out This Disney Disclaimer Before Visiting Disney Springs

Disney Springs is beginning a phased reopening on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Ahead of this reopening, Disney has released several guidelines to help keep both guests and Cast Members safe at Disney Springs. This comes a little over a week after Shanghai Disneyland reopened with its own safety protocols in place.

On top of the safety protocols, Disney has also released a disclaimer for guests visiting Disney Springs.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Disney Springs you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

When Disney Springs reopens, there will be an inherent risk for those visiting. Cast Members and guests will be required to wear masks. Guests will get their temperature taken before entering Disney Springs. Extra steps will be taken to clean and sterilize Disney Springs as much as possible. Despite those safety actions, there will still be a risk that Disney is acknowledging.

This last week Universal CityWalk in Orlando also reopened with a similar disclaimer. This comes as the Florida Governor has announced that theme parks can submit potential plans for reopening. At this time an opening day for Walt Disney World Resort is still unknown. DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and update it as details become available.
