15 years ago today several of us from the DAPS MAGIC team were having one of the most magical days ever at the Disneyland Resort. It was a day full of new entertainment, celebrities, magical moments, cupcakes, fireworks, merchandise, murals, and more! For many, it will be one of the most special days ever experienced at the Disneyland Resort.
The day began before dawn as thousands of Disney fans waited to get into Disneyland to help celebrate this memorable day. This came after a day where the park was closed to the general public for a media preview of the Happiest Homecoming on Earth and to get some last-minute magical touches finished in the park. Finally, guests were let in and greeted by cast members lining Main Street, USA waving, cheering, and adding so much magic to the beginning of the day.
The day was full of magical moments that began with a ceremony in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the first performance of Parade of Dreams, and the inaugural presentation of Remember… Dreams Come True! 15 years later, Mr. DAPs and Merlin share their pictures as does Melody (Caitlyn’s mom) from this special day. These are just a snapshot of some of the moments of the day. In the coming months, we hope to add more photos and videos as we remember this very special celebration!
