In a few short weeks, Disney fans are going to get an exclusive look inside The Walt Disney Archives. In the original Disney+ series Prop Culture, fans will get an up-close look at props that were used in dozens of classic and modern movies, as well as hear stories about their creation.
The Walt Disney Archives have been preserving the magic of everything Disney for 50 years. Many fans dream of getting to see everything from Walt Disney’s preserved office to animatronics from classic attractions. Prop Culture will give fans the opportunity to see inside the walls of the Walt Disney Archives and see props from films that have come from Walt Disney Studios! In this series, we will see props from films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Mary Poppins, Tron, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Muppet Movie, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.
This series will come to the Disney+ streaming service on Friday, May 1, and all eight episodes will immediately be made available. Disney+ has famously not used the binge model for original content and has only released one episode of a series at a time.
What are you most looking forward to seeing in this series? I can’t wait to see props from The Muppet Movie! Be sure to connect with us on Twitter and Facebook to let us know what you think!
