Looking Back, Looking Forward – DISNEY Reporter

Welcome to another edition of the DISNEY Reporter. Each week DISNEY Reporter shares the top headlines from the Disney and geek communities. This week the coronavirus continues to impact The Walt Disney Company. This leads to the cancellation of grad nights at the Disneyland Resort. COVID-19 has also led to the cancellation of San Diego Comic-Con. Because of the crisis caused by the pandemic, Bob Iger has returned to run point at The Walt Disney Company as it strives to build towards recovery after coronavirus closures. While Iger is stepping forward, Bob Chapek has also been elected to the Disney board.

In entertainment news, Disney+ has revealed what will be arriving on the streaming service in May. With this comes the announcement that there will be a making-of documentary for The Mandalorian called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. Disney Studios also made news this week when it announced a plethora of digital downloads will be discounted.

Finally, DAPS MAGIC is sharing a new playlist that shares the magic from the past called DAPS From the Past. This is a collection of magical Disney moments from days gone by at the Disney Parks.
