Star Wars fans have another big project to look forward to! This week, fans found out that Leslye Headland was the showrunner and writer for a female-centric Star Wars series that would be coming to the Disney+ streaming service.
This point of view is something that the Star Wars universe has been notoriously lacking since the original saga debuted more than 40 years ago. While it is unknown when this series will take place in the timeline, we know that it will be told from a female point of view, something that many fans are excited to see!
It is seeming like Disney+ is the place for great Star Wars series to be released! With The Mandalorian season 2, Rogue One, and Obi-Wan Kenobi series all in the works for the streaming service, fans are sure to be happy with all the new and exciting content coming our way!
Leslye Headland received two Emmy nominations in 2019 for her work on the Netflix series Russian Doll. The series received thirteen nominations in total and won three awards during the season. Headland has also been known for her work on Bachelorette, Heathers, and Blunt Talk.
