Sunday Recap Report – A Day Full of Fun and Friends!

It was an absolutely beautiful day to visit the Disneyland Resort! The sun was shining brightly, there was a slight breeze, and colors on photos were brighter than they had been in quite awhile!

I got to Disneyland around 11:45am, took some photos, and then sat on a bench outside of Disneyana. Soon after, Jeff and Angela showed up, and we sat there for awhile. Around 12:30pm, we moved from the bench to Christmas Tree Point. We took more photos there since it was a bright and sunny day! The Main Street March passed right by us while Mickey and Minnie smiled and waved.

After the March, we met up with Mr. DAPs, Caitie, and Jenny at Market House Starbucks. From there, we headed to Coke Corner and ate some snacks while watching the Dapper Dans. I got the Día De Los Muertos Hand Pie, which is inspired by the Pixar movie “Coco.” The Hand Pie has a guava filling which is not sweet at all. It can be found at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. It’s $5.49, available via Mobile Order, and discounts apply.

Around 1:45pm, we made our way towards the Castle to wait for “Magic Happens.” While there, I went to the Castle and got some photos taken by PhotoPass Cast Member Melanie! It had been almost a year since I had had photos taken near the Castle. The photos came out great, and I was grateful for the new photos.

Finally, it was time for “Magic Happens!” The music is very catchy, and it was a great day to take photos of this colorful parade! It just makes you happy that you can’t help but to sing along and smile the entire time!

After the parade, we headed towards Galaxy’s Edge via Frontierland. Not much was going on in Galaxy’s Edge, but it’s always nice to walk through the area. From there, we headed to Disney California Adventure and headed to Sonoma Terrace. We sat there for awhile before it was time for dinner.

For dinner, we had food from Pacific Wharf Cafe, Cocina Cucamonga, and Paradise Garden Grill. The popular item was the Brisket Fries from Paradise Garden Grill. This is a specialty food item available during the Disney California Food & Wine Festival. The fries are topped with shredded smoke bbq brisket, cheddar cheese sauce, pico de Gallo, chipotle crema, and green onions. It’s $13.49, available via Mobile Order, and discounts apply. There is also a smaller ‘Sip & Savor’ portion that you can use a ‘Sip & Savor’ coupon to get.

After dinner, we took a walk around Pixar Pier to check out Guinevere from “Onward” at the Pixar Promenade. From there, we took a walk to Cars Land and watched Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters for a bit. Then we checked out the progress on the refurbishment at the Cozy Cones. The Cones remain open during refurbishment so you can still get your snacks there.

Soon after, Jeff, Angela, and I went on Soarin’ Over California. It’s back for the Disney California Food & Wine Festival through April 19th. It was nice to enjoy an opening day attraction that is definitely a fan favorite.

Soon after, it was time to call it a night. It was a very nice night with the moon shining bright, and it made for great nighttime photos.

Thank you for following along on our adventures around the Disneyland Resort! Have a great week, and I’ll share more fun next week!
