Sir Patrick Stewarts Announces Free Access to Star Trek: Picard and CBS All Access

For those who have been wanting to watch Star Trek: Picard but haven’t wanted to pay for CBS All Access, there is good news! Sir Patrick Stewart announced via Instagram and Twitter that CBS All Access is offering a month free of the streaming service through April 23rd. This means that fans will be able to not only watch Star Trek: Picard, but also every other Star Trek series in existence. Viewers will also have access to all of the other content that is currently offered on CBS All Access as well.

In the video announcement, Sir Patrick Stewart also announced a second season of Star Trek: Picard. When that will be arriving on CBS All Access is a big unknown at this time.

Here is the announcement that was made by Sir Patrick Stewart:

As the post indicates, access to the streaming service still requires viewers to sign up for it. They can utilize the code GIFT to unlock the free offering from CBS All Access. When signing up, viewers can choose to unlock either a month free of the limited commercials (normally $5.99 a month) or commercial-free (normally $9.99 a month) version of CBS All Access.

This announcement and offer arrives as millions of people are staying home to help slow down the spread of the coronavirus. This has led to an uptick in streaming service subscriptions. CBS All Access will most likely gain new subscribers with this offer as fans tune in to see what becomes of Jean-Luc Picard and then check out what else CBS All Access has to offer.

This week will be the final episode of season one of Star Trek: Picard. It continues on the story of the former captain of the Enterprise and has gained positive reviews from fans. It is the most-watched show on CBS All Access currently. This year there should be more Star Trek coming to the streaming service as well. This includes Star Trek: Lower Decks and the third season of Star Trek: Discovery.
