This weekend, Disney’s Hollywood Studios hit another major milestone! With Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opening in just over a month, training has officially begun for the opening cast on this attraction! In the video below, we get to meet some of the trainers and a special trainee that may look familiar to guests of the Disneyland Resort!
In the video, we see Walt Disney World President Josh D’Amaro try his hand at learning to operate the attraction. D’Amaro recently left his position as President of the Disneyland Resort to move to Walt Disney World, so it was a fun surprise to see him in action at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
It was also great fun to see inside the attraction, as we haven’t seen much of the inside yet. We mainly get to see the loading platform to the attraction, with Josh and his trainers at the control panel. We also see some of the posters that Disney has been releasing on the walls of the attraction in the background. We can’t wait to see what the inside looks like when this attraction opens on March 4 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and in 2022 at Disneyland Park!
Of course, this attraction would be nothing without the cast members training the opening team! It is fun to get to hear the stories from two of the trainer opening the attraction. Whether it be loving the Mickey Mouse shorts or celebrating Mickey and Minnie’s birthday in Disneyland when they got the news, they each have a unique and magical connection to the attraction!
