John Williams Wins Grammy for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Theme

John Williams won a Grammy award for Best Instrumental Composition for his Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite. Elements of this music can be found throughout the new land that is found at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This piece was written specifically for the new land by John Williams.

John Williams has the second most Grammy awards given to date with 25. He follows Sir Georg Solti who had 31 Grammy awards. This most recent Grammy comes 45 years after Williams won his first and 58 years after his first nomination! The suite was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at the famed Abbey Road Studios.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now open at both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Most recently, the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction opened at both parks. It has proven to be an immediate hit with thousands of people arriving at the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort each morning to attempt to get a boarding group for the attraction!
