Star Trek: Picard Renewed for Second Season

The first season of Star Trek: Picard premieres on January 23, 2020, but the second season has already been given the green light. This will continue the story of Jean-Luc Picard, former captain of the Enterprise in Star Trek: The Next Generation and the films that followed that crew. Now, decades later, this will pick up the story of Picard years after leaving Starfleet.

It is expected that the second season of Star Trek: Picard will feature 10 episodes, just like the first. The episode for season one will be released on a weekly basis. Season one has already wrapper production for the show. Season two could begin production as early as spring 2020. It is unknown when exactly the second season will appear on CBS All-Access. It could be late 2020 or early 2021.

Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart as Picard. He is joined by Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway and Evan Evagora.
