Frozen 2 Becomes Sixth Disney Movie To Join Billion Dollar Club in 2019

Disney’s Frozen 2 has officially surpassed $1 billion at the global box office. This makes it the sixth movie from The Walt Disney Company to reach this milestone in 2019. The Frozen sequel officially reached this mark on Saturday.

Along with becoming the sixth movie to make $1 billion at the global box office, Frozen 2 is also the seventh biggest animated release globally Disney shared. The movie opened the week before Thanksgiving and immediately began setting records. It joins other Disney billion-dollar club of 2019 movies that includes Captain Marvel, Aladdin, The Lion King, Toy Story 4, and Avengers: Endgame. It would be no surprise if Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker also reached this mark.

Frozen 2 follows along the journey of Anna and Elsa as they seek to discover who they truly are and where Elsa’s magical powers come from.
