Disneyland Resort Announces 2020 Lunar New Year Along With Food and Wine Festival Dates

The Disneyland Resort has announced the return of two popular annual events in 2020, the Lunar New Year celebrations and also the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! These two events have become foodie favorites at Disney California Adventure. This year, expect them to be bigger and better than ever!

Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year celebrations will be taking place over the course of 24 days this year. Things will get started on January 17th at Disney California Adventure and run through February 9. This year, the Disneyland Resort will be celebrating the Year of the Mouse.

Throughout the course of the celebration, there will be multiple different performances, decor, characters to meet, activities to experience, food to enjoy, and also specialty merchandise. The celebrations draw from the traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures.

One of the highlights of the Lunar New Year festivities each year is Mulan’s Lunar New Year Processional. Last year, the three little pigs joined Mulan and Mushu for this special performance.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will begin at Disney California Adventure on February 28 and continue until April 21, 2019. This will give guests a chance to taste some of the best that California has to offer in terms of food, wine, beer, and some other beverages.

Each year the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival also includes culinary demonstrations, seminars, and other experiences for foodies to enjoy. On top of that, there is some incredible live entertainment to be enjoyed while strolling through the park. Young ones can even cook with Chef Goofy in one of these shows!

This annual festival will offer more than a dozen Festival Marketplaces. At these Marketplaces, guests will be able to get small plates of food, specialty beers, and specialty wines. The popular Sip and Savor Pass will also be returning this year. This will give all guests an opportunity to try a variety of different foods. There will also be a new line of merchandise available this year.
