The Walt Disney World Resort has released new information about its hours ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Dorian. The hurricane has not reached Florida yet but ahead of its arrival, Disney has released several updates:
Walt Disney World Resort Parks
The Walt Disney World Resort will update its hours on September 3rd to the following:
- Magic Kingdom Park: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (opening at 7:00 AM for Extra Magic Hours)
- Epcot: 7:00 AM –
3:00 PM7:00 PM - Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (opening at 6:00 AM for Extra Magic Hours)
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (opening at 7:00 AM for Extra Magic Hours)
- Disney Springs: 8:00 AM –
3:00 PM8:00 PM - ESPN Wide World of Sports: Closed
- Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park: Closed
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Winter Summerland Miniature Golf: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

September 4 Hours (updated)
- Magic Kingdom: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Extra Magic Hours 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
- Epcot: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Disney Springs: 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM
- Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park: Closed
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Winter Summerland Miniature Golf: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Disney Resort Hotels
Disney Resort Hotels will remain open. However, due to safety concerns Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will be closed beginning on September 3rd at 3:00 PM. Guests with accommodations being impacted by weather are being contacted by Disney and given alternative accommodations. This applies to current guests and also guests with reservations that could be affected by the storm.
Walt Disney World Resort Special Events
The Disney After Dark event on September 3rd at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been canceled. Guests who were going to be attending this event and already have tickets can either get tickets to attend another Disney After Hours event in 2019, get tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2019, a 1-Day flexible ticket with park hopper option for anytime through 2020, or receive a full refund for the event.
Guests wishing to receive one of these options can call (407)-939-7818 between 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM by December 15, 2019 or email tickets.inquiries@DisneyWorld.com.
Walt Disney World Resort Dining
Guests with dining reservations will find that their reservations will be honored on September 3rd up until one hour before park closing. Resort dining reservations will continue to be honored until 5:30 PM. Disney has also ceased enforcing cancellation policies for dining and other reserved experiences. There is no need to call and cancel reservations through September 3rd. Any reservations that are outside of the new operating hours will be automatically canceled and refunded.
