Hyperspace Mountain gives guests the chance to join the Rebel Alliance in aid of Admiral Ackbar. While blasting through space guests find themselves in the midst of a dog fight between the Rebels and the Empire. This popular overlay of Space Mountain in Tomorrowland began this year’s run in May. Now it is known that it will continue through Halloween.
First introduced in 2015’s Season of the Force, Hyperspace Mountain was an instant hit. Guests zoom through the middle of the battle between X-Wings, Tie Fighters, Star Destroyers, and even the Millennium Falcon! In previous years during the Halloween season, Ghost Galaxy took over Space Mountain. However, this year with most of the Halloween festivities moving over to Disney California Adventure, the Star Wars overlay will continue on.
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort runs this year from September 6 through October 31st. It is unknown at this time if the regular Space Mountain will return in November.
