Happy Earth Day! Today, we’re celebrating nature in a big way! While DisneyNature’s Penguins hit theaters last week, we’re already gearing up for the next celebration of our planet! Today, DisneyNature announced that the newest film to hit the Disney+ Streaming Service in November will be narrated by Natalie Portman!
The film, Dolphin Reef, will take us to a thriving coral reef to see the incredible creatures who consider reefs their home. Created with Disneynature’s signature storytelling style, the film introduces Echo, a young Pacific bottlenose dolphin who can’t quite decide if it’s time to grow up and take on new responsibilities. Dolphin society is tricky, and the coral reef that Echo and his family call home depends on all of its inhabitants to keep it healthy. But Echo has a tough time resisting the many adventures the ocean has to offer. Keith Scholey, who directed Disneynature’s “Bears,” helms the film.
This is just the beginning of all the non-fiction projects that will be joining the service in November! Among other projects will be a documentary on Walt Disney Imagineering and another on the making of Frozen 2. DisneyNature’s Penguins will join the streaming service in 2020.
