One of the most beloved classic Disney animated films, The Little Mermaid is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. To celebrate this milestone, the Hollywood Bowl is bringing back the concert-to-film experience, where guests can go under the sea while enjoying the soundtrack live! This was done a couple of years ago, and they’re bringing it back with an all-new, all-Star cast!
Performers include:
Lea Michele as Ariel
Harvey Fierstein as Ursula
Cheech Marin as Chef Louis
Ken Page as Sebastian
Peter Gallagher as King Triton
Leo Gallo as Prince Eric
Alan Menken is a special guest, who we imagine will give guests a special piano encore sometime that evening. This will be quite a concert experience that is not to be missed!
Before the concert even begins, guests will be able to participate in a themed costume contest, snap a selfie in front of photo ops, and enjoy “Merbabies” the 1938 Silly Symphony cartoon, which features a brand new original score composed and then performed by Emily Bear, a 17-year old piano sensation.
You’ll want to dive in and buy your tickets for The Little Mermaid at the Hollywood Bowl, which are on sale now at HollywoodBowl.com for shows on May 17th and 18th.
