Disney fans visiting the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort have been able to experience Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. Soon guests visiting the Disneyland Resort will also be able to experience this musical and magical show. Mickey’s PhilharMagic will be premiering at the Sunset Showcase theater in Disney California Adventure in April 2019.
The 3D show stars Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and many other Disney characters and stories throughout the course of the show.
In Mickey’s PhilHarmagic Donald Duck is tasked with getting a magical orchestra ready for Mickey to conduct during a concert. However, when he discovers the magical baton and Mickey’s sorcerer hat have some magic, he can’t help but play with them. Donald’s ability to get himself in trouble coupled with his bad temper ends up taking him on a magical adventure through several different Disney stories. These include Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and even Peter Pan!
Mickey’s PhilharMagic arrives in the midst of the celebration of Mickey’s 90th birthday. As part of the Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration!, the Disneyland Resort has also introduced the Mickey’s Mix Magic nighttime spectacular, the return of Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, and new costumes, decor, merchandise, and food!
Originally at the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort, Mickey’s PhilharMagic can also be found at Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, and most recently it began performances at Disneyland Paris. The show runs about 12 minutes long and in previous incarnations has been billed as a 4D experience.
