This Sunday at Disneyland was a day that you look around and recognize what a perfect afternoon it is. The day was completely lovely and the Disneyland Resort wasn’t completely packed. It was busy enough to keep things energetic but not hectic. The DAPS MAGIC team arrived in the early afternoon just in time to see Mickey and the gang march down Main Street, USA with the Disneyland Band.
After enjoying Starbucks (#dapscaf2018) at Coke Corner and listening to the ragtime piano, the team decided to take a stroll through Mickey’s Toontown. This is generally one of the warmer areas of the Disneyland Resort and Sunday proved to be no exception. However, it was a lovely afternoon for a stroll. Through the course of the stroll both Goofy and Pluto made appearances.
This warm stroll was followed by a cool cruise along the Rivers of America aboard the Mark Twain riverboat. It was a perfect day for this. The sun was shining and there was a lovely breeze as the boat sailed around the river bends. Following the cruise, it was time to go from one steam-powered attraction to another. However, after disembarking the Mark Twain the Jambalaya Jazz Band could be playing in New Orleans Square. A brief detour was taken to enjoy this wonderful band. They played some classic jazz tunes and also some Disney music.
Finally, it was time for the trains. The Disneyland Railroad was a perfect before-dinner attraction. The trip around Disneyland aboard the train is always relaxing and nostalgic. As Walt Disney envisioned it, it was the overview of what guests would experience the park when they arrived. It still does a fantastic job of giving a peek into the various magical experiences Disneyland has to offer!
Dinner was over at the Paradise Garden Grill. Burritos, pizza, and ravioli were enjoyed there. During dinner, A Musical Celebration of Coco was performed and added to the already festive atmosphere. I’m including a previously recorded video of this as it is just that fun. I hope you enjoy!
After dinner, the team walked through Pixar Pier and made its way to Cars Land. After racing through Radiator Springs it was time to head back to Disneyland. Some of the team enjoyed Disneyana while the rest watched Remember… Dreams Come True. After the fireworks, the night concluded by watching the ghost try to escape Space Mountain – Ghost Galaxy.
After streaming from Tomorrowland, the group made its way to Main Gate and home. Lots of pictures were taken that will be showing up on the DAPS MAGIC Instagram in the coming days and weeks. Overall it was a completely lovely day at the Disneyland Resort. We look forward to our return in the near future and we hope to see you there!
